Job Summary:

The HR Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the HR department. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. The HR Assistant will assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and other HR-related tasks. This role is a full remote work setup.

Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment & Onboarding:
    • Assist with posting job openings on various platforms.
    • Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communication.
    • Prepare new hire paperwork and facilitate the onboarding process.
    • Conduct background checks and verify employment eligibility.
    • Assist in new hire orientation.
  • Employee Records Management:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and electronic.
    • Process employee changes, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations.
    • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
    • Generate HR reports as needed.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including answering phones, responding to emails, and managing correspondence.
    • Schedule meetings and appointments.
    • Prepare and distribute HR-related documents and communications.
    • Maintain office supplies and equipment.
    • Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration as needed.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Assist with employee inquiries and provide timely and accurate information.
    • Support HR initiatives and programs.
    • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Compliance:
    • Assist in ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
    • Assist in maintaining up to date knowledge of HR best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or HR support role is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus.
